A few quick thoughts on the new Railmaster
Stopped by at the nearby boutique to have a look at the new Railmaster and I think they managed to keep the essence of the 2500 series. I was expecting the case to feel bigger and thicker but the whole package is very well balanced especially on bracelet. Besides the small package, one of the biggest attraction of the 2500 series in my opinion is the perfect weight distribution between the watch case and the bracelet which makes you completely forget about it when on your wrist. In practice the new model only felt marginally bigger than my 36mm. The double clasp takes some getting used to and does include one quick extension. In the metal the conical crown did not bother me as much as on the press release pictures. Anyway, personally I wouldn't pay retail for it but I came away thinking they did a decent job with it. If Omega was offering a no date AT with polished indices it would be a difficult choice.

Looks very neat. But would go with the gray dial. But either one will do. Tfs. 😊
