Laurent Ferrier Classic Moon
As a tribute to the GPHG "Calendar and Astronomy" Watch Prize awarded yesterday to the LF Classic Moon, I thought I would just throw in some of the best photos I've been able to find online.
For the record, the Blue dial version has a stainless steel case, whereas the Silver dial version has a rose gold case. Both are powered by the 80h power reserve cal. LF126.02.

I find it very attractive, if it wasn’t for this peculiar date window. Far too dominant for my taste.
But the backside is, as always with LF, killer cool!
I also have mixed feelings about this model.
The date window and the glass-like “moon bridge” bother me too. I also wish the date hand would be a little more distinctive, a little less straightforward (like the serpentine hand on Blancpain watches, in a completely different aesthetic of course). But...
Worthy winner
I personally prefer the more technical look of its predecessor, the Montre Ecole, but I am happy to learn the Moonphase won at the GPHG.
I also like the Montre École better
because the day and month apertures look nicer imo and because I’m not fond of the “sunglasses” on the moon phase.
