Live pix of the IWC Yacht Club Chronograph

This IWC was one of my fav novelties unveiled during the latest SIHH. I do believe that IWC did a great job with this watch by creating a more sportive Portuguese watch:

- water resistance is now 60 meters
- a rubber strap is used
- chronograph has the flyback function
- a date window is added
- hands and indexes are luminescent
- crown is protected

The watch is powered by in-house automatic 89360 caliber. Its finishings are far from being perfect and its decorations are quite light. But its size is coherent with the case diameter (45,4mm). Power reserve is 68 hours.

Pushers are quite stiff but hopefully, they are nicely designed.

Dial finishings are much better, in fact, they enhance the beauty of the watch. Because the watch is beautiful. It is perfectly balanced and the big red hand brings a subtle sportive touch.

I love the perfect integration of the hour counter within the minutes one and the figures on the dial.

In a few words, I was seduced by this watch despite some details which could have been improved.

I have been looking at as well but havnt experienced IRL. I have 2 "concerns" though; I think a watch to be worn around/on/in the water should have had a better water resistance (know its not a diver) but a security margin. The othe is the size. It sounds...

i just how they managed to shift the dial with tiny changes from elegantly classical to modern , classical ,increased the sporty feeling of the watch without any sacrifice with the previously mentioned characteristics . Faisal

...though for me, like most IWCs since 2000 much too big. The concentric chronograph hands might well be a good idea, like the big minute counter of some older Lemania chronograph movements. However, I don't see why they conflate the traditional Yacht Clu...

Thanks for the report FX. Its a nice watch but too dressy to be worn anywhere except perhaps on the yacht deck and water resistance for the occasional splash! I also find the IWC chrono pusher action very stiff, which is disappointing given it has an attr...
