Not the most exiting SIHH ever, but therefore maybe the best

Strange I know but being back from SIHH2018 I realize this might be one of the best years ever. What did they offer ? Not too much!
Since many, many years we had way too many Limited editions and that's the reason why I lost quite some interest in Panerai. And I know a lot of oldtimer Paneristi that share that feeling.
Look at all the LE made in the last years and they are all widely  available and unsold at your AD. Back in 2000 - 2007 this was unthinkable
SIHH opened an as good as all the LE were sold out in 15 minutes. I have contact with quite a few dealers and they tell the same story, they became nuts the first day!
They had to answer a zillion emails and phonecalls cause their customers all wanted that special watch.

Anyway,we all know that changed dramatically ( except the Bronze Panerai Diver from last year, that seems to be the only one almost nobody can get)

This year they focussed on the Due and even a 38mm. ...38 ??
Yes, and I think it's a good thing , a 38mm

We have to realize Panerai grew a lot and they have to keep on growing. This 38 mm is a wonderfulp watch for most woman and probably some men too. I saw it, tried it and I love it.
Not for my wrist but for a few 100,000 woman out there

Panerai doesn't have to make only the watches most of us would 'approve' this group of diehard fans is way too small. Most of us love Rolex too. What do we like the most ?
Probably only the submariner, GMT, Daytona ... and preferable in steel.
But we all know most watches Rolex sells are the date just and to be precise the bicolor date for woman.

And then there was this watch. Again I noticed some complaints that this is not a real DNA Panerai, what happened with the font ? Where is the luminova? ...
Well I absolutely love it.
FINALLY it's something new and not seen before.

Might be the most original limited edition in a decade, finally not another version of a 1936 or 1938, not again an unaffordable supercompliation, not again an expensive Minerva based watch, not again a California dial, ...
No something NOBODY expected ... and that's something I really applaud

If you like it or not doesn't imo matter, I like it a lot
