Today, i couldn't help myself....
Earlier this year i bought a 6150 Explorer. It was, in many ways, a replacement for the watch i was truly hunting, the 6610 red depth. As i posted a few weeks ago, i was finally united with my 6610 dream, and happily so. But almost every time i find a vintage that i have hunted, a very odd thing happens and that is I have this urge to find it a modern day "brother" so that my watches have partners in the overall collection. Its not always the case (I have no modern daytos for example) but it occasionally happens. Well it happened with the Exporer. The simplicity of the modern Explorer has always appealed, as too has the older version 36mm...so today i visted my local AD and found the below. Its a lovely watch to wear.
Now maybe just one or two more modern versions to add still..... but this is one i can wear in teh bath! The modern vrs vintage debate goes on and on...i love both

I bought exactly the same for my mother in law, and, from time to time, she lets me use it... Charming watch, as all the Explos, Vintage or Modern. I may have a nice surprise, as we speak about Explos, in the 2 next weeks... Great catch, my friend, maybe ...

Thanks very much... Hans, i tend to wear them all quite equally actually, unless i am doing something more energetic and then the vintage stay in the safe. I also like the idea of having some watches that "can" take a knock and withstand it. I have a Brem...
