Hi everyone,
I’m a one-watch collector, mainly for financial reasons. I’d rather own one great watch than juggle four lesser pieces on rotation.
Over ten years ago, I started exploring vintage watches—first with the usual Universal Genève chronographs, and eventually I landed on a 1970s Rolex 1675/8 on its full yellow gold bracelet.
It was an exciting journey, but as a one-watch collector, wearing a fragile vintage gold piece every single day became a bit stressful.
That’s why I began looking for a sturdier daily wearer that could still excite my wrist. That search led me to the F.P. Journe Octa Sport, which I just purchased. I have to blame (😉) Jay (Eire) and his C and CTS for getting me hooked on super-light daily wearers.
I’m really enjoying it—wearing it seven days a week—and I’m just as happy to have joined this forum.
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to learning more from all of you!
🙌
J
NB: Technically, I have this Swatch Grand Prix too, but I’m not counting it as a ‘proper’ watch here
