One of my favorite split second chronographs, the Ref 90170: For years, I was looking for this watch. Every time I searched on the net, I would always end up reading over once again PeterCDE's informative and insightful post at this wonderful forum: http:...
We miss him. But hopefully you would like to make us your friends! Congrats on finding your pair of 90170! Stunning photos of a stunning pair! Best Blomman
But hey Blomman, you are not new to me. I have been reading many of your posts and always enjoy them and have learned a lot from them. Best Regards, -Song
Always a lot to learn about our beloved tick-tack! Together we learn more and faster than on your own. Never saw the 90170 in real, so please show more of your stunning pair! Best, my friend Blomman
Wonderful catch, my friend. That is something I was ( and still ) hunting, too. For the beauty of the movement, its decoration, its sophistication. Yes, it is a long ream. I am very happy to congratulate you on this one. It was an eternity I didn't see on...
I know you like this watch too because I have been following you all the time... and share the same taste as yours. It is a very hard to find watch, of very limited production, but after all there are a few in existence. Hope you will find yours very soon...
At least to my eyes, given my limited knowledge and experience, this is the best looking Venus 179 movement, well, after the top notch "treatment" by GP.
as until your post I was only familiar with the Scuderia Ferrari rattrapante series. Even those are so nice I could imagine myself owning one, forgiving the fact it is co-branded with Ferrari (in general that would be a major turn off)
I have the automatic version and have been looking for the manual with the Venus movement for a while, unsuccessfully. It is a pleasure to see your. Kind regards Francois
