Mates, I am heavily thinking of buying the iconic GP Laureato watch with blue dial, the limited edition model:

This would be my first GP watch!
My question is, what do you think of the future of this particular watch? I am asking it because the new, non-limited line is already out in this year, and I don't know, whether it is good or bad for the first badge of the limited Laureato models?
Will the new models destroy the first 450 pieces - in terms of status, in terms of hold of the value, in terms of exclusivity?
Or the limited edition models have enough strength and uniqe value to defend all the attacks??

Have you considered the Royal Oak instead?
I think the GP is a nice watch but it feels like it's trying too hard to be a Royal Oak. So why not just get a Royal Oak instead?

I think I would struggle to give the GP wrist time if I had both the AP and the GP.

You are internally consistent with what u like. Congrats.
The critique that the Laureto has too much of a AP-like vibe may not be relevant to u. If u will be buying to keep no need to worry about value. GP is a quality time piece. Maybe consider a different size to mix things up.
IMO I'm not sure that this GP will hold its value in the same way that AP RO would, limited or not, so I think your purchase is going to have to be based on personal preference.
No doubt a great watch, but it does feel to me like it is trying to imitate Genta and I think the originals were only in Quartz. I would also have a problem with a sports watch only having 30M water resistance. I would consider Vacheron's Overseas first, ...

It lacks the movement, pedigree, originality of either the AP, PP, IWC or even VC of that period when steel luxury watches were born. I would personally pass, but if your heart yearns for it, then go for it. That is the ultimate criterion. Things like val...
