Mates, I am heavily thinking of buying the iconic GP Laureato watch with blue dial, the limited edition model: Courtesy from the web! This would be my first GP watch! My question is, what do you think of the future of this particular watch? I am asking it...  

I think the GP is a nice watch but it feels like it's trying too hard to be a Royal Oak. So why not just get a Royal Oak instead?

I think I would struggle to give the GP wrist time if I had both the AP and the GP.

But then again, there are plenty of people who own both a RO and a Nautilus (or several of each!) so there's that

The critique that the Laureto has too much of a AP-like vibe may not be relevant to u. If u will be buying to keep no need to worry about value. GP is a quality time piece. Maybe consider a different size to mix things up.

No doubt a great watch, but it does feel to me like it is trying to imitate Genta and I think the originals were only in Quartz. I would also have a problem with a sports watch only having 30M water resistance. I would consider Vacheron's Overseas first, ... 

I\'ve got an RO and aquanaut but I\'m still chasing this particular GP. It\'s fundamentally different from the regular production with a slightly smaller case and dial etc. I note the manufacturing is not near the level of either the AP or Patek but bear ... 

It lacks the movement, pedigree, originality of either the AP, PP, IWC or even VC of that period when steel luxury watches were born. I would personally pass, but if your heart yearns for it, then go for it. That is the ultimate criterion. Things like val... 

All I would say is if it sings to you and you will wear / enjoy it... It is a nice watch.

Hi Adam, It goes without saying that you have to go for the one you want to look at and muse over but there are some important subtle aesthetic and technical differences. I have been wondering the same thing since the new model launched is subtly improved... 

Hi Adam I have owned this piece since December last year and can truly say it's one of the most comfortable watches I have owned. True it's not in the same league as a PP, AP or even the VC Overseas, but having owned the VC Deepstream this is by far more ... 

BUT, I LOVE the Laureato Anniversary ! You know my collection, and still it gets a more than fair share of wrist time! As for those that compare it to the RO... I am quite certain they do not know the Laureato in full (and probably not the RO either)... V... 

After that it evolved to automatic movement. Best Blomman
