Facts, emotions and subjectivity

Choosing a new watch is always a mix of these three things. You can read the facts about jewels, bridges, sprung balances etc. but the danger is that you compare almost like a cost accountant on the features offered for the price. Watch buying at this level is never a rational decision, it's an emotional one. What you're missing is the direct experience of the watch from an aesthetic and sensory perspective. Simply put you have to experience this yourself and this is where the emotional part comes in. No one here can tell you how you should feel, nor how you will actually feel when you see a particular watch. Some watches "speak" to you and others do not. It's almost entirely subjective. And for that reason you need to see the watches that interest you and spend time with them and then decide.
