Patek Philippe's
very high end (~US$100,000?) automatics
have a similar configuration of the winding
rotor (I believe this PP movement
is designated: Cal. R27).
Very sensible idea, in my opinion, for the
obvious reasons that it gives more
winding power than a mini-rotor but, as
already observed, does not hide the
movement so much as a full-size rotor.
