Horological Meandering

Congratulations! great milestone on a journey.

I'd go for a watch that will not only represent quality, but also from good house, preferably not from one of the large groups , with a special aspect, and something to be kept in the family..

At your budget, I'd search:
- Grand Seiko high-beat GMT, preowned
- Rolex date just / precision either 5 digits or from your birth year (You never mentioned size, but 34-36mm can broaden your choices while keeping you within your budget.).
-Tudor BB54 is a great watch, and of course the Pelagos line. However quite common, you can opt for  the BB58 silver, a beautiful watch and the "silver" is like a medal smile
- NOMOS makes great watches within the budget.
- Chopard has very nice watches (although most with generic ETA movements) within the Mille Millia range, all in your budget.

If you go to the "groups", you can get something "less common", like the Omega SM300 with green dial, or the great looking aqua terra.

Last, but not least, and from Rolex, the EXP1 36mm is within your budget, a GADA watch and an icon by itself.
