Horological Meandering

Glashütte is worth a visit.

Recommend a visit of the German Watch Museum in Glashütte. Ask GO directly, if a guided tour is currently available, also give Lange and Moritz Grossmann a try. The people there are always very friendly.

And I agree with Dirk, Dresden should be on Your list, watch related boutiques Lange & Söhne, Glashütte Original, 2 AD's, at least 2 vintage watch dealers. Make a short side trip to a vinyard near Dresden (e.g. Klaus Zimmerling in Pillnitz and Wackerbarth castle in Radebeul) with a paddle steamer on river Elbe.

On Your way to Dresden You could spend some time in Saxonys spa region Bad Elster (moor mud and mineral Spa) and visit the Musicon Valley around Markneukirchen and Klingenthal with lot of manufacturers of music instruments (e.g. Framus, Warwick, concert guitars, Martin came from here), and a nice museum.

If You want to visit a museum take note, most of them are usually closed on Monday.
