Yes, knowing your excellent taste I assumed ABP, and I should have my own ‘new shoes’ from ABP shortly.
Aesthetically I do like the white dial on the Mark XV, and I hunted it down for that reason – there were two white dial versions, one a LE of 50 made for the German Jeweller Gadebusch, and this one which, while not a LE per se, was made in small numbers (some estimate 250) for markets predominantly in Asia. I particularly enjoy the blued second hand against the white background, but in reality it is probably easier to read the time on the ‘standard’ black dial version.
I am about to jump on a plane for Daytona Beach so I will have to decide which Pilot’s watch to take with me. I won’t be spending any time in the cockpit though!
