This thread should see some interesting pieces emerge into daylight. Not too many real aviators in the hangar here: can only ‘see’ the Mark XV and Speedy Pro; ‘raise’ a GO Navigator – Never sure about this one though. Breguet reckon it’s a pilot type, but...

Hi pplater, Your British Spitfire Mark XV looks rather spiffing on its aftermarket strap. I have always liked those applied numerals. Is it distracting that the central brushed area eats into the 10 and 11? I read that the Type XX and XXI were supplied to... 

...for the late response Andrew, but 'better late than never'. Thank you for noticing the aftermaket strap on the IWC. As I think you may know, it's an ABP with 'gunmetal' stitching: seems to be a better match for the watch than the tan OEM strap. As for ...

I will have to contact them to ask if it's possible to get the same strap but in a sand color... I love this kind of straps..This is my 1st one, and I absolutely love it. Best. Nicolas

In French, this is " Toile "..Waterproof, yes, but won't go to swim with this watch, as the crown is not screw, and as the WR is 50 meters only. Best. Nicolas
