Pleasantries do help to maintain decency in civilized comminucation but they do not in any way enhance the truthfulness of an opinion.
In general, an opinion which is based on true fact/s is a correct opinion. Otherwise, it is an incorrect / wrong / tainted opinion or a mere puff.
