Great post and very thought provoking as all of which you mentioned has happened to me.


When I reached your comments about emotional attachments, I understood.  Never say never, there are 3 watches I probably will never sell and I have even thought who I will bequeth them to at my demise.  One of the watches I purchased in remembrance of a sister that departed this life too early and two of them I meet the watchmakers and helped and had both incorporate design elements into a custom build that distinquish them from the ordinary.  The design changes are not something as blatantly personal such as my name engraved but I and the watchmaker know they are there and can see them.  And of course the 4th watch is a PuristS limited edition and how could I get rid of that
