I know very little about watch movements but there was certain watches where you should never manually changed the date between 1 and 3 or something like that.
With one of my watches I did change it around 1:30 when I was first putting it on and winding it.
From that time on the watch would never automatically change the date until about 3 AM. Since I'm asleep then I just never cared that much but apparently a watch maker can fix that fairly easily.
Apparently I had messed up the mechanism somehow.
How many minutes past Midnight would you find a Date Change to be acceptable, ... 5 minutes, 10 minutes, more ?

I can't find it! Joke aside, it takes the 7750 in the my Sinn 103 a good 10 mins to switch day & date, it's never bothered me. Now if my life depended on it I'd just wear something different.

Instantaneous date changes are of course prefered but I could live also with a 90 minutes delay. Typically I am sleeping during that time ๐๐ซก

It does Arabic first and then switches to English, so yes it happens.

I really do think this C6e True GMT is the Best and most Unique looking CW to date... looks like nothing other! Your double date, dual language Seiko sounds very cool, I really have to get myself a piece with a day&date display.

I did that, too, Changed the Date During the Forbidden Hours while distracted during a boring business meeting !
Mine had to go back to the Spa, since it's date wheel got lodged by that moment of carelessness. Lesson learned, business first, date change later. ๐
I have a personal policy to not use a quick corrector between 9 and 3
If I pick up an unwound watch with a date feature, and it stopped in these hours, I will wind the movement and then move the hands through 12:00 and see what happens. Some movements have protection mechanisms to protect the quick date change feature, but ...
I subscribe to that policy as well, but have had 2 lapses of attention in some 30 or so years...
I've learned that it's always a good idea not to set the date when in a hurry or when distracted !
If not instantaneous, I would personally accept a 20 minutes wait.

The watch at issue is the Christoper Ward C63 True GMT. I believe that it may be ETA2892 or 2894 based, with a module. Since the 2892/2894 change the date close to midnight, perhaps the particular construction here is the issue.
My question is how do you already have this one?
