I can't find it! Joke aside, it takes the 7750 in the my Sinn 103 a good 10 mins to switch day & date, it's never bothered me. Now if my life depended on it I'd just wear something different.
I recently got this piece and its date does not change until Way WAAaaay past 12 Midnight (as in, 90 minutes past Midnight ). The manufacturer (Christopher Ward) is telling me it's "completely normal," but I remain unconvinced.... Any thoughts or experien...
But answering independently of a screenshot: I am personally not fussed. Plus, I am usually in bed by midnight It is nice to have an instantaneous date change (that is, surprisingly not price-related in many cases). I have several GMT watches that don't h...

50 years ago, when I was a kid, my late father was making this possible, do not ask me too much how, but people came from worldwide to him to get their Rolex datejust and day date done. He has a rare ability to make the midnight miracle happening. I remem...
leaving his kids no chance for mecanics in the 70's...has pushed me to electronics and informatics, as well my brother, telling us no future in the watch market service. At the time of our studies, Seiko was popular with cheap electronics watches ! He tol...
I really do think this C6e True GMT is the Best and most Unique looking CW to date... looks like nothing other! Your double date, dual language Seiko sounds very cool, I really have to get myself a piece with a day&date display.
With one of my watches I did change it around 1:30 when I was first putting it on and winding it. From that time on the watch would never automatically change the date until about 3 AM. Since I'm asleep then I just never cared that much but apparently a w...
Mine had to go back to the Spa, since it's date wheel got lodged by that moment of carelessness. Lesson learned, business first, date change later. ๐
If I pick up an unwound watch with a date feature, and it stopped in these hours, I will wind the movement and then move the hands through 12:00 and see what happens. Some movements have protection mechanisms to protect the quick date change feature, but ...
It is kind of โI bought a new car and it feels not as fast as it should be. What do you think?โ โบ๏ธ What I want to say is, it totally depends on the movement. Modern movements have usually an instant shift, which means, itโs supposed to be in the +/- 10 mi...
The watch at issue is the Christoper Ward C63 True GMT. I believe that it may be ETA2892 or 2894 based, with a module. Since the 2892/2894 change the date close to midnight, perhaps the particular construction here is the issue.
I pre-ordered one and their website said it wonโt be delivered until early August. As far as the movement is concerned from what I have read is it is based on their first (and only) in house movement, and the GMT is integrated, not a module. Supposedly it...
As for whether it is in-house, I am asking CW for clarification on that point, since one of their reps wrote to me in reply to my date-relate query saying, "I have reached out to the manufacturer/designer of the movement in Switzerland to get an exact ans...
"[T]he movement CW002 is an in house movement, but we have a Christopher Ward team in Switzerland build and install the movements into the watch head, and then despatch to us thereafter. So these are the guys that have the best knowledge on the in-house m...
