Horological Meandering

Do any of you own a KT watch? Jay, have you, perhaps, been to their studio in Japan? Just wondering about overall impressions — the Japanese aesthetic is quite appealing with this (and, other of their offerings). https://kuronotokyo.com/pages/2025-jubilee...  

but I am less convinced by the Miyota movements used in Kuronos. I have had a couple and they do not keep good time.

Wasn’t overly impressed with it at the price point. Cool watch yeah, and well designed but quite expensive for what it was.

I only own one from the early days, when they were still called Chrono Tokyo. They are a quite nice counterpoint to more conventional pieces and the dials are usually quite nice. They come with Miyota movements but these are generally nicely hidden behind...  

My Baltic has a Miyota movement and it has performed very well—no hesitation about that. Regarding what I might do, I am trying very hard not to be seduced by the “watch of the day,” and it is unlikely I will opt in. But, then again..🙂 As noted in my resp...

Grateful for the observations. For me, in this case, it is all about the dial — the color, the kanji, the texture, the layout. Plus, I like the overall case dimensions. This is a situation where ideally I would try the watch on before making a decision bu... 

In terms of sizing, longish lugs. Just for reference again, see this post if you haven’t looked at it recently. My wrist is 6.25 inches. The wrist shots are not ideal, camera is a bit close and so watch looks bigger. But may be helpful. www.watchprosi... 

Only collect KT. For the price point they are very nice. From what I’ve seen, The quality is good. They remind me of a Japanese Glashutte Original. Great dial. Great size. Not my favorite case, but I like sharp edges in my cases and lugs. It’s all persona... 

Lovely dial, lovely aesthetics and at only 2k, what could go wrong really? I have the salmon Toki and the watch is so fun and enjoyable.
