Grateful for the observations. For me, in this case, it is all about the dial — the color, the kanji, the texture, the layout. Plus, I like the overall case dimensions.
This is a situation where ideally I would try the watch on before making a decision but that is not going to happen. To that point — trying watches on first — I plan to stop by a JLC AD tomorrow to try on the new, smaller Reverso Tribute Monoface, 40x24 mm, with the silver dial if they have one in the store. I find the smaller case size very appealing.
