I have the same model as Rei but in white dial. Got it from Hong Kong in 2009 and it is really keeping very good time. It does not feel cheap at all and i look forward to see the new Hi-Beat in flesh.

in regards to the GSs. I have the SBGM003 and just love it. I wear it more than any other piece, even more than my Patek. The craftsmanship will rival most high-end manufacturers, Swiss or other wise. Do post some pictures! Aloha, Bob

Hi, Moses, Simple answer to your basic question, which is asking for a personal opinion, after all: I RESPECT GS and the other top of the line Seikos IMMENSELY. There is a certain integrity, a "purity" to the final product vis a vis the stated and implied... 

and I guess we have come to expect nothign less from you ThomasM. A big reason I moved for the GS is I wanted something less common than the Rolex. Well, at least of the people I know, most wil have rolexes as opposed to GS. Mabe I've got funny circles LO...

Personally and practically, I just can't go any further when life is without GS...expressing a strong design philosophy and never-ending passion toward ultimate accuracy from this big brand...

Although it's getting time that I took the thing apart and gave the movement a good cleaning. We'll see how I really feel after that.

...and I own a GS GMT, which has been literally faultless in implementation and operation. Many of Seiko's designs seem based on the gestalt of the 1960s. Simple, classic dials, hands and cases. These are often so perfectly executed that I can understand ...
