Horological Meandering

Any among us may have admired a good backside (on any gender) now and then. Having a less-than-compelling one myself (trust me on this), I perhaps compensate by acquiring watches with interesting reverses. Mind you, I am no connoisseur of haute horlogerie...  

And yes, I only photographed things I currently own.

I know we share a love of the Duomètre collection (at least in its previous guise), and I am very sympathetic where your previous experience of theft is concerned. Keep loving on that black dial/white gold Duomètre chrono of yours!

Sure, the newer caliber has a longer power reserve, but I find it far less distinctive.

There nothing like a good looking movement.

My favorites here are the hand wound movements. And I would personally add a traditional Lemania-based chronograph movement (like VC’s 1142). Best, Emmanuel ...

I hope to lay hands on a Lemania-powered chrono someday, though I haven't decided exactly which to pursue. (Plus, I keep getting distracted by travel watches and shaped cases.)

The crocodile lining on the strap is an appropriate touch of luxury with that behind, I think!

and makes it feel and look truly custom as opposed to any random grey colored crocodile leather strap. Thanks for a highly entertaining post! 🙏

Thank you for this post. It demonstrates one of my favorite things about watches, the thrill of turning it over to reveal ‘the party in the back’. In general, it is such an important part of the package and the story of the watch, regardless of wherher it...
