These double-arrow bridges don't speak to me.
I know that Constant Girard-Perregaux was awarded a gold medal for this 1860 patented invention at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889, but it's a design language to which I don't respond. Just a matter of personal taste (or lack of it) of course!

I understand the appeal, but the Gold bridges don't speak to me.

I absolutely love the three bridges from GP....
But, in this instance, I find the overall design far more subtle and chic with the LF as opposed to the GP........
I like the LF better too,
but it's quite easy for me, because the Gold Bridges don't speak to me (they feel "too much" for me). I prefer the traditional design of the FBN movement. Best, Emmanuel

Where they are not so ostentatiously finished in colored gold etc....? I even find the visual 'clash' between the yellow gold of the case, and the rose gold of the bridges unappealing!....

Yes, I understand the appeal of these bridges,
but they don't speak to me, personally. Something about them and the decoration below is "too much" for me. So I would choose the LF, but this GP is quite something nonetheless, no doubt about that. Best, Emmanuel

Visually lighter and more elegant. The GP design feels too heavy, front & back.

Those hands, those indices, that click spring....a masterpiece that captured my heart the first time I saw it.
Slight preference for the LF from the front…
But would have been stronger without the advertising text above the small seconds subdial 😉 And I like the three bridges layout but prefer GPs more modern interpretations of it 😊🤷🏻♂️

I don't dislike the vintage look of the GP face.
But I don't respond to the three gold bridges design and, therefore, I much prefer the LF. But I like the 38 mm size better than the 41 mm ! Best, Emmanuel
