Given your criteria sounds like a new strap/bracelet for the JLC or just track down a Rolex GMT is the way to go in that size range. If I had to get a travel watch now a 42mm Explorer would be top of my list because I like the bigger everything (except height) of the larger watch. For me a travel watch should have big markers and lume for anytime visibility (hotel room at 3am with jet lag, dark airplane cabins), a GMT hand, and it needs to be water friendly (sport watch) so I never have to take it off to leave in a hotel room or locker somewhere... Oh, and no soft iron cage so it doesn't set off the metal detectors at the airport so ideally titanium or ceramic cased.
That said, if none of that sporty lume stuff matters to you, the most stunning GMT I saw in 2019 was this Grand Seiko. In person it was brilliant!
