Horological Meandering

So many variables here.

In general I‘d say if I‘m just on a waitlist, without down payment and without binding order I might still take a watch after 5 years when offered to me. If it‘s a binding order with down payment I‘d go 3 years max and that‘s only for a really special watch. Otherwise probably 12-16 months max. It‘s less because I don‘t want to wait and more about the uncertainties of the future. And while I think a waiting time can increase the joy of getting a new watch, I‘m almost certain that the anticipation will drop conciderably after 3 years, just because there are so many new things out by then. And at least so far I haven‘t seen THE perfect timesless watch.
