Horological Meandering

Some points

Personally, I find the integrated chronograph movement nicer to look at, you can follow the action (as for the repeaters you pictured). As the AP RO(O) chronographs have alsmost always a solid back this doesn't play. A second point is that the pushers and the crown are on the same level with an integrated chronograph which I think looks more balanced than having them on different levels. And as last remark: I suppose that an integrated chronograph movement can be built to a lower height (although I never realy paid attention to this) which again is not that important in a sport watch.

I'm however not in a position to speak about the technical advantages or disadvantages of the different solutions.

So overall, in a real classical, elegant chronograph I would prefer the integrated solution. For a sport watch with chronograph, I would prefer the more robust movement with no immediate preference.
