The AMG V8s are very good engines. Most of them are not dry sump engines, so don't go taking long sweeping turns at high speeds, as a prolonged g-force may cause engine oil starvation. The AMG GT two door sports car has a true dry sump lubrication system, so those will survive just about anything you can throw at those. They can't operate upside down though (certain Porsche engines in the past could theoretically operate upside down) as the vacuum probably isn't strong enough to suck the engine oil upside down. But then again, if you're operating upside down, that normally means you've crashed badly!
Ahh, NYC... Electric cars would be nice for NYC!
The Dalibor Farny is indeed very nice. I have both the 4 tube and the 6 tube and I personally like the 6 tube. The 6 tube version shows the seconds, and since the seconds move every second, it gives the clock a lot of "life" and movement. It definitely belongs as a permanent piece in the Museum of Modern Art. Its clean aesthetic is both timeless and classic. I got mine and then later begged for forgiveness - don't know if that will work with your wife...?
