Torch and tool resistant industrial strength/weight safes do part of the job
Manufacturers like ISM (Israel), Rosengrens (Swedish), Chubb (British), Kaso (Finnish), Tann (British) Brown (USA), and AmSec (USA) all make commercial grade containers but the 2,000+ lb delivery weight make them ground level installation only for residential homes. Therefore it's garage only in my case. The weight of the safe would destroy sub flooring, stairs, joists, etc.
Then in the garage with the humidity I'd have to constantly maintain a desiccant/dehumidifer or small electric heater wand to keep the air dry inside the safe. Of course bolted to the garage concrete floor. The safe would likely cost $14k installed. An interesting value proposition. Not to mention somewhat of an eye sore and elephant in the room - even if it doesn't block normal car storage/movement.
I'll have to continue to think about this option as well as the many great suggestions from members.

High Security Safes for watches and other jewelry
Has anyone considered a high security safe for their valuables? Because high security safes are so heavy and could be damaging to a normal household floor over time... that could present a challenge. Perhaps install the heavy safe inside your garage bolte...
Good untill your/family life is threatened so maybee if you got more safety layers and a panic room
Sure banks or similiar solutions also gets more troublesome and expensive nowdays so no easy answer.

Also two medium sized safes that are easier to sorta hide and install where you want might be a better option. So you might have to only give up one if that day we dont want to think about comes around the corner.
Most banks here in Sweden are closing them and stopping that service.
That might not be a problem for other members here though.

I have 2 small safes, nothing elaborate,
but enough to keep people out of. They are side by side and bolted to the wall in a storage area so they are also out of sight. Firearms, jewelry, documents etc.
This used to come up on another site I was on.
My preference instead of adding a massive nightmare of a safe is to instead thinking of hiding things in plain sight instead. False wall or cabinet drawers etc. Something to think about. That and insurance.
If you do a home safe make sure it's over a 1000lb, has a high fire rating and bolted to cement.
