Horological Meandering

Understood, Thomas - perhaps the category of 'vfm' . . .

. . . should be broken down to 'ovfm' and 'svfm' - objective and subjective vfm, respectively. In purely objective terms, the Karree Panodate is a typical current production model with average residual value, putting it at the mid to low end of vfm. My relatively high but purely subjective rating is weighted towards appreciation for the craftsmanship of it's movement . . . in that narrow sense, I feel that the cal 22 movement in a steel case represents extremely high vfm, even though it's not reflected in the secondary market . . . cordially, Art This message has been edited by Dr No on 2009-05-12 23:30:49
