Horological Meandering

What a sober and true response, Nicolas

You are very probably right. There must be an exception or two out there.

But in a way, you kind of set me straight.

Maybe this is why my current batch of faves are not uber-movement sportwatches, but simply strong, dependable, heavily encased 'mules'.

I would say my Seiko 10th anniv LE GMT has the most aesthetically pleasing movement of my current crop... but it does not really qualify as a movement-lovers movement.

Nor does the really cool blued movement in my Blue Surf, which is very cool, and much nicer than it appears in pics, and not 'merely' a novelty, but a very, unique cool treatment.

The rest are not visible movements...

Your point about AP/ PP  RO/ROO/ Nautilus bezels being incompatible with sport is absolutely right, of course. Crazy really.
