Horological Meandering

You are quite right !

I had not yet browsed through all the previous submissions before posting mine... This particular model does appear to be reasonably common.

For now, it serves as my simple, time only 'dress' watch. One day to be replaced by that JLC master ultrathin perhaps...

I do have a great afffection for Seiko. My first ever mechanical watch was a Seiko 5, and actually it was while searching for a replacement after losing it that I stumbled across that first vintage Omega, and it was all downhill from there. A Seiko would be my first reccommendation to anyone starting out who wanted a 'good', reasonably priced, mechanical watch.

It was great to meet face to face. Hope you're enjoying the book.
