(photo dump) Laurent Ferrier Classic Micro Rotor Evergreen

I figured I'd kick off my first post on this site with a picture of one of my favorite watches in my collection. I love this thing. This is my Laurent Ferrier Classic Micro-Rotor (Evergreen dial).

Movement
The movement finishing easily exceeds my Lange watches, which is saying something. On the LF, you get convex mirror-polished bevels that are a mile wide, eight super-sharp interior angles, a ton of black polish, perfectly executed Geneva stripes, some of the finest perlage I've seen.

As far as the movement goes, we have a natural escapement instead of the usual Swiss lever and a solid gold micro-rotor.

I think this movement (FBN229.01) is the best value in LF's lineup.

Servicing
I service watches I buy secondhand before wearing. That's how I came to know that LF's service times and after-sales experience is also fantastic, with servicing times running just a month or so.

(For servicing, the regional manager for the US came out to pick up + drop off my watch in person when we were in the same general area! And they reached out to me and set up a dinner with me at a nice restaurant to build a client relationship. All of this is despite them knowing I bought secondhand. Obviously YMMV with all this, but I will definitely buy a personalized piece from them a few years from now.)

Pictures

I love the tone the dial takes on in sunlight.

Just a shot of the beautiful caseback.

Those Geneva stripes really are something.

Closer ton sunset/golden hour, the Evergreen dial takes on a much more vibrant hue.

Beautifully architected movement.

Look how wide that anglage is! That balance bridge can't have been easy to finish either.

Solid gold micro rotor and some nice black polish.

Geneva stripes and another interior angle.

Even the oblique angles are pretty sharp.

Hope you enjoyed!
