Dear Bjoern, thank you so much for this invaluable post. I learned many things and can agree with your sentiment that “At Baselworld almost everything looks bland in Hall 1 when you visited before the Atelier brands”. So true. Let your article put to rest... 

But I believe that all of Dufours components are milled by CNC machines, they just all come from external sources and not his own workshop. He then finishes them in his workshop. His watches are primarily examples of fine finishing. But please correct me ...
