Independents

This is reference material for sure!

They way you introduced the different masters, highlighted their peculiarities amidst the communalities is extremely educating and so up to the point. Congratulations, and moreover, thanks a bunch for the efforts to put it together so wonderfully.

I have always maintained that visiting the ateliers of the masters is a great educational experience, more so than visiting larger manufactures. Real individual thinking and specific philosphies at work with implementation to match, less so economically streamlined production systems.

Two other very valuable exercises complement such visits: (i) factory tours with suppliers (which would shatter your notion of 'exculsivity' and in-house' on top of learning to appreciate those who, e.g., create sapphire crystals), and (ii) creating oyur own watch under the guidance of a master.

I did all of the above - reports to follow (soon, I hope...).

Again, thank you for your magnificent piece which I will bookmark and refer to as it fits.
