Chronometry competition

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for sharing with us your insights about Greubel Forsey's participation to the the first two modern days Chronometry competitions.

My first point would be to congratulate Greubel Forsey for their second attempt win, and all other participants for their participation. Particularly Jaeger-LeCoultre for their win with the Master Tourbillon, a watch that is dear to my heart as it was my first technical subject covered and was/is a great subject of JLC attention in terms of technical refinement in conception, attention to detail in production and regulation.

I want to congratulate all participants because a participation in such a competition is much more a risk to loose than a chance to win. But if you mean to talk about precision, chronometry, it seems coherent to participate.

Some have chosen not to dare participate. That's their right. And that's our right to come to our own conclusions about their own interest for performance on the chronometry field. Of course not all brands sell watches using chronometry arguments.

Obviously if there's one brand that is positioned nearly exclusively on the chronometry key argument, that's Greubel Forsey. And I'm glad they will participate again, because you're not a legendary Le Mans winner by winning once. Those who keep participating will be the future legends.

Best
