The detail that caught my attention was not just . . .

 

. . . the tight ∆ between the derived high and low rates, but that those rates are measured over the span of the power reserve of the movement.  Since the barrels are connected in series, there must be a point in the transition between one barrel and another where the torque is not linear.  In other words, the level of accuracy is all the more impressive when taking into consideration the mechanical complexity of the power train.  It's one thing to create and regulate a movement to a high level of accuracy, and another to achieve that level of performance over an extended period.
