I have recently been corresponding with Richard and Maria Habring of Habring2 and they were kind enough to post some links for me to see a few of their watches in action. In their words, “the videos are just some quick shots from the workbench” which are meant to show me how some basic components of their watches, like the jumping- or dead seconds (seconde morte), and tourbillon work. Perhaps, I am still too much of an ingénue when it comes to watches, but I never tire of seeing movements come to life, whether on my wrist or in videos. I hope everyone enjoys these short clips, which Richard and Maria kindly provided, and permitted me to share with my PuristSPro compatriots. I can’t say enough nice things about Richard and Maria. Thanks, Don C., for the introduction.
I’ve attached links below to short videos Richard and Maria have posted of the following watches offered by their company:
1) Chrono COS (COS stands for “Crown Operation System”) – I thought this was an interesting video as it shows how the watch’s single crown operates all its chronograph functions.
2) Jumping Second (manual-wind version) – this is my favorite Habring2 model!
3) Tourbillon 3D – a one minute flying tourbillon.
4) Jumping Second Tourbillon – Can’t decide which Habring2 is your favorite? Why not get the best of two models in one watch!
Enjoy the clips. Thanks again to the Habrings for permitting me to share them with you all.
Cheers,
Daos
