The crown operating system is interesting, but I wonder how easy it is to operate on the wrist. Winding a watch on the wrist is difficult (and can damage the winding pinion) because of the angles involved. I guess this is something you would have to try yourself; at least the crown looks a good size to grip.
I like dead second displays as well and from Marcus’ comments it sounds like the Habring version is quite well executed. I do wish, however, that the jumping second mechanism was more completely displayed like on the Chronoswiss Sauterelle. And that’s a flying tourbillon in the jump second, different to the one used in the standard Habring tourbillon?
Mechanical watch movements should definitely be viewed with the wide-eyed enthusiasm of children; maintain your ingénue status (ingenuity?) at all costs! J
