but I would have thought the 25 Remontoires would have been sold in a few months as they are a relative bargain I guess the stigma of buying from an independent will always exist.
The 11 blue dial signature ones for the US market are sold out.
The remaining 22 (with different dials) have to be ordered directly from GF. I would be surprised if those are also all gone.

In general I prefer steel and platinum. Both are "pure".

It depends on the type of watch, and the watch itself...
Sports must be steel or titanium or other lightweight scratch resistant metal. Also some oldies formal watches in steel are to die for, look at the Patek amagnetik 3417 for example... For the rest, I personally prefer the importance, heft and shine offere...
