Steel vs Precious Metals. Which do you prefer?
Reasons cited for choosing steel over precious metals include: 1.better value 2.less formal 3.lighter and more suitable for daily wear 4.less common Which metal do you prefer, for say Greubel Forsey's Signature 1 or Gronefeld's 1941 Remontoire?

but I would have thought the 25 Remontoires would have been sold in a few months as they are a relative bargain I guess the stigma of buying from an independent will always exist.
The 11 blue dial signature ones for the US market are sold out.
The remaining 22 (with different dials) have to be ordered directly from GF. I would be surprised if those are also all gone.
