Signature 1 versus Contemporain. Who wins? And why? ...  

After trying Fast Wong's Signature 1 out in New York, as well as the Balancier, I think the Signature 1 is a lot better. I think it's because the Signature 1 has more depth to it, and the actual layers have this big fat layer or slab of anglage that's rea... 

It might be larger in diameter but it is a lot thinner than the Balancier Contemporain which for me makes it a lot more wearable and more balanced proportionately. In addition, I feel that the Signature One is more legible and that is important in a watch... 

In particular, the asymmetric design organization of the components seem artistically overlaid and combined together, whereas in the second it’s as if they are more side-by-side for the most part. Not sure if I’m explaining my perspective coherently. Rega... 

As I prefer the darker dial and find all the elements better balanced on it and more legible and it just looks nicer to my eyes. Marc

The Sig 1 is the most barebones stripped out Greubel ever which says a lot since GF is a more is more kind of brand. It was produced in relatively fewer numbers compared to many GF models including the contemporain. My conspiracy theory is that because Di...  

Your sig1 looks way better once both are on the wrist. Like you said, the depth, dimensions etc.

The posts so far decidedly favor the Signature 1. And I can understand; it is a beautiful watch. But I do really enjoy this one on the wrist . . . ...  

I can easily pull off the bigger S1 and for me this is a more old school GF which i love but the more compact and beautiful BC is also a dream watch tbh. Just recently tried the new one which is amazing . Both much better irl imho ...  

The work level and multi layering on thial alone is way better than the Sig1 ...
