Don Justino came to Paris a coupe of weeks ago with this Simon Brette's Chronomètre Artisan piece. I have to say that it is an awesome watch, exquisitely finished, with a great case and a movement I like a lot. Now the dial is a bit too... Well, how to s...  

but saw that you beat me to it. The man has got an instantly recognizable style. Not an easy feat to achieve…

...I love everything of this watch. Really everything.

When I saw the dial, I was disappointed and was actually glad that the order list was full when I tried placing an order. I like simple legible dials even though I have little doubt Simon's work is beyond reproach.

Is that etched brass? Without the etching, the dial would be a winner. Right now I find it a bit busy and of course, if you are concerned with legibility this is not your watch.

Still too much going on for me though.

But I love this entire package. The finishing, the colors, the fonts. If I had small criticism it would be more legible hands (may be more visible in person). As for the dial drama, I love the color and pattern. That same finish in maybe a tantalum dial w... 

Is not for me. The movement side is not really appealing.

At first, I was smitten, and came very close to ordering one of the first watches when I had the opportunity to do so. The longer I looked at it, the less appealing it became.

I even like the dial! That dial is just art! And I adore the scalloped steel gears on the back. Wonderful! So interesting and what a beautiful watch!

At 50,000 CHF, I even think the price is reasonable. This is exactly the kind of watch I like. Beautiful bridges, huge balance wheel, slow 18000 beat, beautiful finish, a classic look while still looking modern, the beautiful dial looks kind of technical ... 

are concerned, an example that comes to mind is Pascal Coyon's Debut piece and 5 times increase in 2.0, which reminds me of this classic and at the end of the day everything is relative S

YOu're right! Everything is relative! But let's look at it this way, today a time only, manual wind, no date Patek Calatrava in gold is nearly 30,000 CHF. If you look from that standard, then these really pricy independents do offer a lot of value at 50,0... 

And we must be geniuses! Since geniuses think alike! Another movie that I really like is The Best Offer. If you haven't seen it, give it a try - you might like it!

don't know about being a Genius but like to learn from better smarter people from myself I did see it, wonderful film and what a switcheroo in the end I love this movie a lot S
