It is called Reduction.
Imho Reduction to what is essential in high end watches. Do you like minute repeaters or tourbillon because they tell time?
My daughter has turned 3 years old recently, and like every child she knows what is essential.
She doesn't know how to read time and she doesn't care about time, but she likes my watches, to handle them, to try them like daddy, to feel it and to hear it.

There are other ways for sure...
to spend your money. But like modern art comparison done before, you can find it stupid, useless, etc but some can also find that brillant for some reasons. In the case of the H9, some will find it brillant (I do), some will find it stupid.

The brutal truth is that when people start spending silly money on a watch that is not really a watch, I think it really goes to show that we as collectors have spoilt them - the watch makers.
