The green dial was also my favourite when I first saw photos of the launch. But you are absolutely correct that the watches look better in real life and the dials look quite different under varying light conditions.

I saw these when the e-mail came in and liked but don't have suitable connections. Very nice.

I think many previous Kurono owners were left frustrated when they found out that the only way they could obtain one of these box sets, assuming they had no contacts in Japan, would have been to fly to Japan which is logistically not possible for many. I ... 

I like the various colors, they work with many outfits. Congratulations

I came late to Kurono and the first released after creating an account was the Seiji, which I really liked. But there is no woman in my life and I couldn't lie. I have since acquired one pre-owned and it is as good as I thought. I have put it on a JPM gre... 

But was unsuccessful in getting one allocated to my wife. I have seen the Seiji in the flesh and it is the very chic. Hope you are enjoying wearing your Kurono. As they say, better late than never!

I like Hajime Asaoka’s creations very much and this tasteful and elegant set is no exception. Enjoy it and wear it in good health.

As it is almost impossible to buy a Hajime Asaoka watch, this is the next best thing and as I love the way he focuses on the dial in the Kurono range. That after all is what we look at most of the time!

Definitely something that fits your style imho.

But for me comfort is everything. My RW Smith arrived a few months ago with a less than impressive strap (especially for a watch costing 40 times more than the Kurono) and it was not even comfortable. So relatively I am a great fan of these comfortable Ku...  

I get your point, clearly the pleasure on your watches stand in the Uruchi lacquer dial, while chronos are more of daily wearers. I chose a plain red leather strap for my Shiro chrono which looks good and makes the watch fun to wear.

A red leather strap definitely adds a new dimension to the chrono. Well done for being confidently adventurous

My target of having fewer than 15 watches is gradually failing. My new target is fewer than 20 watches!

I am further consolidating my collection with further reduction… and so happy about each move. Of course it is a huge sacrifice to let go some beloved treasures each time but on the other hand it is for upgrading, making dreams come true, and less headach... 

Consolidation requires a lot of focus and determination but the reward is always worth it especially if it means we attain a grail. For me, I have always wanted a Voutilainen so I am aiming for one even if I have to sell half of the watches in my collecti... 

And yes for sure consolidation is pain in a way but at the end when you enjoy a real grail it is worth 👌👌 believe me I know what I am talking about 😉

As a Kurono owner, I'm definitely keen to see it!

except I have no plans to visit Tokyo anytime soon. You must tell me about it when you visit it.

Only you would define California and Tokyo to be 'nearby'!

You will never forget that set and neither will I. More than 4 years of ownership and I have not worn it yet - I do wind it daily though and use the pocket watch occasionally.

And I would do the same and also use the pocket watch. Do you have a custom made etui for protecting it from scratches? Each of my pocket watches is having its own custom made etui for having the very exact needed size for being neither too loose nor too ... 

like the watch are both wrapped in its original plastic when not used. They live in the original Moritz Grossmann box, So every morning I actually unfold the plastic to wind both of them. And by the way, I love your pocket watch collection! ...
