That's definitely how I saw it.

Last time I was at WT it was another dealer, who also had (has) an ownership stake in DB selling their watches.

I see. You had said DB was "never" quite independent so broadly referring I assumed to pre and post WB acquisition.
Pre WB acquisition DB had investment from external parties like other indys.
