At least he’s always been passionate about DeBethune. When he was told to push Journe, he always made it clear that he was doing it begrudgingly.

That's definitely how I saw it.
Being able to just walk up to the DB display and start sharing watches is what I'd call a "good day at the office." The military and finance weren't nearly this much fun. Best, Tim

Last time I was at WT it was another dealer, who also had (has) an ownership stake in DB selling their watches.

I see. You had said DB was "never" quite independent so broadly referring I assumed to pre and post WB acquisition.
Pre WB acquisition DB had investment from external parties like other indys.
