I wish I'd been there to see them. I'd love to see the escapement in Philippe Wurtz's Gramat (the long one). He impulses the suspension spring, and it's a very tempting concept. Be fascinating to see how well it works and if he overcomes all the issues it...

I am not aware that Beat has posted any info on his resonance clock, however I have almost completed by version of the Breguet No.3671 which is the famous double pendulum clock in The Queens collection. I have had it running since January while I am finis...  

Thanks for the info David. I am also not aware of any info about Beat's double pendulum, but I have never really asked as my interest is more on his resonant double tourbillon. He told me that for that watch the resonant effect is much more than he expect... 

I can't wait to find out more about this project. I figure that I'll start looking at clocks once my kids are mature enough that I can assume a clock would be safe in my house. Your clock might be one full second off by then... Bill

Start reading about clocks now, and by the time the kids are old enough you'll known and understand enough to make some veyr informed choices. Clocks are infinitely more fascinating than watches (imho, of course) and there's so much technical and historic...

I make every component in the clock except for the jewels used in the train, I even cut the pallet jewels from Sapphire block. I believe there has only been 11 Double pendulum clocks ever made A.L.Breguet made 3 Double pendulum clocks, No.3671 for King Ge...

Hi Nick, I am always happy to answer good questions. This escapement is unusual in that the pallets are fitted directly to the suspension spring avoiding losses via a crutch, the impulse is given directly to the pendulum. The set screw on the long pallet ...
