In my eyes this is the rectangular watch to have...despite my love of the 5100 and 5200 Pateks.
Question to the more knowledgeable WIS here:
How would this stack up in terms of finish and craft vs a KV, Roger Smith or FPJ? I am looking to consolidate my collection down to a handful that are worth putting away for my kids. Aside from the future servicing question - I just want a second opinion on the watch per se. Thoughts?
I don’t have much experience with independents apart from my FPJ and one of the first Dornblüths ever made.

the unusual lugs strengthen the character of the Georg and make it more handsome sleek
The movements made by Lange & Heyne are a feast for the eyes. Truly gorgeous. Dials are very pure too.

The shining bridges , the blue screws and hands, sandblasted plates; the finishing level is absolutely astoundingly, as you would expect by a german brand (even Nomos provides good quality). The design has its unique touch, classic but not outdated.

Voutilainen and RW Smith are at a different level altogether in terms of finishing, both on the dial and the movement. FP Journe is less exclusive than Lang & Heyne and I would rate Lang & Heyne at least on par if not better than FP Journe. What I persona...

It is much more artisan-like than ALS, with a quite different concept (frosted mainplates), so for me the difference...
lies more in an aesthetic preference than in the quality. Magnus
