In my opinion

Voutilainen and RW Smith are at a different level altogether in terms of finishing, both on the dial and the movement. FP Journe is less exclusive than Lang & Heyne and I would rate Lang & Heyne at least on par if not better than FP Journe. What I personally like about Lang & Heyne is that the movement in all its watches, be it the Georg or its round watches, fill up the case back better than almost any brand I know. This gives what Marco Lang himself states as 'a widescreen effect' which further accentuates the beauty of the watch. FP Journe has arguably a more varied collection so it depends if you are looking for a basic 3 handed watch (Chronometre Bleu v Frederick III - wow what a contest!!) or a more complicated piece. Please also note that due to the complex movement construction of FP Journe watches that not only will the servicing cost be more than most other brands but the servicing work will almost certainly have to be conducted by FP Journe.
